Robust Pole Placement for Fuzzy Models with Parametric Uncertainties: An LMI Approach

This paper deals with analysis and synthesis techniques for robust pole placement in Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) regions. The class of systems considered here is the continuous TakagiSugeno (T-S) fuzzy models with parametric uncertainties. Sufficient stability conditions are established for this class of systems. These constraints make it possible to robustly assign the closed-loop poles in a prescribed LMI region and also to guarantee the global stability. A simulation example is presented and shows the effectiveness of the proposed robust pole placement techniques.
